Activity Week

DO NOT FORGET: Swimming Kit all week; packed lunches; long sleeves and gloves for skiing on Wednesday (this is very important as you will not be able to ski without them!); small amount of spending money for the afternoons (optional).

Would everyone who has supplied food for Dolphin in tins or containers please collect them on or before 25 July from the school kitchen. They are in a large black bin liner.

FunRaisers are going to arrange sale of unwanted walking kit/boots at the beginning of each term. The proceeds will go 50/50 to the original owners and FunRaisers. Please bring unwanted kit/boots to the school office in a bag containing your name and contact details. Kit will be offered for rent or sale. If your child is leaving Dolphin this term and you would like to donate any PE kit to the school could you please wash and delabel it and give it to reception or any member of the PE department. Thank you. A second hand PE kit sale will be held on the first Tuesday of next term.

Please check carefully which clubs your child will be going to and the days. If you wish to make changes or have any problems with the booking please see Vivien in the office, rather than the teacher who is running the club. While we make every effort to run the clubs we have offered sometimes unforeseen circumstances oblige us to make changes.

Would parents please note that fees for the Autumn term 2008 are due on 1 September 2008.

All medications from the First Aid room should have been collected before the end of term. Any items left will be disposed of.

The 2008/09 Extended Synopses will be published on the website within the Dolphin Community Section under Teaching and Learning. You will need to be logged on to access this information, log on details will remain unchanged.

We are collecting Nestle Box Tops For Books again. Please save your ‘Box Tops’ tokens over the summer and bring them to school in September.

YEAR 5-8

The drama department would like to draw your attention to the RSC Open Day on Sunday 31^st August in Stratford. There will be opportunities to watch RSC actors rehearse with a director, listen to the RSC music department perform a selection of works, even experience the creative journey yourself of putting on a play. YEAR 6

Year 7 children are given lockers and keys next term, so you may wish to bring in a key ring on the first day of term. Lost locker keys are charged at £15 (The cost price, we have to order them specially.)

YEAR 7 AND YEAR 8

Adventure Week: Please bring you bags to school to be packed on the bus before 10am on Monday 1 September.

You should arrive at school no later than 7.40am on Tuesday 2 September for a prompt 8am departure.

Please bring a packed lunch and drink for the first day in your rucksack. Wear suitable clothes for mountain biking. Anything you need for the day must go in the day rucksack. Please include a waterproof/cagoule.
